Summary[edit]
Description4 Domotex.jpg |
English: Afghan participants in Germany’s Domotex carpet exhibition sold $150,000 worth of carpets and are working on $600,000 in potential sales to buyers from the United States, Turkey and Europe. Domotex, held from Jan. 17-20 in Hannover, Germany, offered seven Afghan carpet producers the opportunity to showcase their carpets to the world. About 40,000 visitors from 100 different countries visited the booths of more than 1,300 exhibitors from 63 countries, including Afghanistan, in the flagship trade fair for carpets and floor coverings. Afghanistan is famous for its handwoven carpets with intricate patterns, and two of the Afghan companies were nominated for the Domotex award of best traditional carpet design. USAID’s Afghanistan Trade and Revenue (ATAR) project and the Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan (EPAA) supported Afghanistan’s participation and will help the carpet producers follow up on the deals.
The Domotex Hannover is a pure trade fair. The Domotex one of the most professional exhibitions. The special shows show new trends, techniques and products. The Domotex Hannover is an excellent marketplace for new business contacts and good customer relations. |
