"Flickr laundering" through flickr account "vesnamarkoska"

There is a very large number of images (360 according to external-links search) credited to flickr account "vesnamarkoska" [1]. They were all uploaded on flickr in one batch on 24 December 2008 and then immediately uploaded to Commons through the Flickr upload bot by User:Мико during the following few days.

Some images on this flickr account are demonstrably copyvios; e.g. some of them had previously been uploaded on Wikipedia and credited to other sources. There seems to be some flickr-laundering going on.

Examples (probably not exhaustive, I obviously haven't checked all):

  • en:File:4078641.jpg, uploaded 12 May 2008 by en:User:Polibiush as own work
  • [4], uploaded 24 Dec 2008 on flickr by "vesnamarkoska" as her own work
  • File:Faculty of Technical Sciences-Bitola.jpg, uploaded through Flickr upload bot on 2 January 2009, credited to flickr/vesnamarkoska

• "Morodvis_old settlement":
  • [5] thumbnail version of apparently same image used in copyrighted news source, article dated 21 July 2006
  • en:File:Morodvis.jpg, uploaded 18 Dec 2006 by en:User:Ajta as own work (but judging from the above, this may already have been a copyvio
  • [6], uploaded 24 Dec 2008 on flickr by "vesnamarkoska" as her own work
  • File:Morodvis old settlement.jpg uploaded through Flickr upload bot on 1 January 2009, credited to flickr/vesnamarkoska

The photographs on flickr mostly lack exif data, those that have some are from widely different camera models, e.g.:

• [8]: Sony DSC-H9.
• [9]: HP PhotoSmart E317.

Update: Here's apparently another case, where a fellow wikipedian claims the "vesnamarkoska" account stole an image of his. [10]. Fut.Perf. ☼ 10:54, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Well - I haven't checked the images cause I assumed good faith. I think User:Raso mk has made some contact with the flicker uploader - I'll ask him.--Мико (talk) 12:36, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

I randomly checked this image [16] and it turns out to be that one [17] - I guess unfortunately all the images should be deleted.--Мико (talk) 13:05, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Oh dear, that's another ~200 images that have already been uploaded. I've identified more sources of her copyvios in the meantime, but I guess it's not really worth listing them all. Fut.Perf. ☼ 13:13, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

•  Delete all, and add all the known Flickr accounts of this person to User:FlickreviewR/bad-authors and also to the (euphemistically named) Commons:Questionable Flickr images/Users. If you can agree that the link search lists are accurate, I can easily delete all those listed in a couple of minutes. Wow. I just know that she works in some NGO and she travel a lot in the country. I guess that the photos are fromm "Vesna girl" or maybe from friends and colleagues, maybe stolen. Who knows. --Raso mk (talk) 17:54, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
