Korean People's Army flags[edit]

Articles: en:Korean People's Army, en:Korean People's Navy, en:Korean People's Army Air and Anti-Air Force

Request
Requesting for these files to be updated based on their 2023 version.
References: [3] (for the Ground Force/entirety of KPA flag, use the one with the plain red background), [4] (at around 9:25, 11:11, 11:32), the text on top is "조국의 무궁한 번영과" and below is "인민의 안녕을 위하여". Center of the star is a golden emblem of North Korea. Close-up on the emblems on the flags: [5] (1:16-1:22). Dates used on the flag: Ground Force/entire KPA is 1948.2.8, Navy is 1949.8.28, and Air Force is 1945.11.29. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Migs005 (talk • contribs) 05:10, 10 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sync coat of arms with Coat of arms of Venezuela.svg
Could someone update the coat of arms in the state flag from Coat of arms of Venezuela.svg? —Preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.12.3.153 (talk) 29 April 2023‎ (UTC21:07)
Graphist opinion(s)
@Donald Trung: There are some very subtle nuances. The listed flag is based on Coat of arms of Venezuela (2).svg, which has more shadows and highlights in the graphics. --Designism (talk) 16:09, 9 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
, my bad. The flag file page lists "File:Coat of arms of Venezuela.svg" among "Other versions", so I (wrongly) assumed that this was a component file. -- — Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 17:36, 9 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You can find flat versions of this poster online. [6] Looking at a zoomed in photo of the top right corner, [7] it's unclear whether the copyright is to 1962 or 1992 (probably not 1662 though!). SmallJarsWithGreenLabels (talk) 22:27, 3 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thank you for the link @SmallJarsWithGreenLabels. The number on the top right corner says something like "exporters registration record 1663". Jak (talk) 10:38, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Jak: where can your claim on the file page that the copyright is from 1962 be confirmed? I'm not sure that would make it public domain either way. SmallJarsWithGreenLabels (talk) 14:37, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Jak: if you are able to translate the textcontent i would help you and try to create a svg
lets start with captions of columns and labeling of y/time-axis

Flag of Krolevets to SVG[edit]

Article(s): uk:Кролевець, en:Krolevets

Request
I would like to ask someone to create an .svg-version of this image. This is a beautiful flag, depicting Archangel Michael as the city’s patron, and on the top and the bottom, the traditional regional ornament is presented, which is a part of cultural heritage of Ukraine.
For a consistent aesthetic, kindly make all similar objects within the ornament uniform, as they feature repetitive elements. --  Gzhegozh talk 10:15, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Virginia state seal SVG[edit]

Article(s): en:Virginia

Request
I'm looking for a little assistance with shifting the position of certain elements of the SVG of the seal of the U.S. state of Virginia. My goal is to have the seal looking more like this, and to get there I need two things:
  • The legs of the tyrant lying on the ground rotated about 15° clockwise
  • The sheathed sword in her arm rotated about 15° counterclockwise
Here's an overlay to show that difference. I have been trying to accomplish this myself, but the way the nodes are connected make it difficult for an SVG amateur to correct. I imagine it would take a professional just a few minutes. There's other creative adjustments that could be then done to this design, which our current consensus supports, to better match it to the more rudimentary versions that other users may be used to seeing, but those two rotations are the most important. Thanks! -- Patrick, oѺ 15:28, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Colour-blind-accessible alternative map[edit]

Article(s): en:Armenian genocide#International recognition and en:Armenian genocide recognition#Countries

Request
I recently tagged the file for a colour-blind accessibility problem. Please also see its associated Discussion page File talk:States recognising the Armenian Genocide.svg (the section about Colorblind friendly red and green?), where the originator of the map responded to the template — apparently considering a more accessible version of the map would not be in the interest of the majority of readers. I cannot tell whether that is true, I cannot change the file myself or make a new version, and there is no indication that further discussion between the originator and me would prove fruitful. The Description section on the file's page lists the countries. If you think a more accessible map would on balance be a good thing and are able to make a suitable new version, could you do so, please? Early emblems of Afghanistan[edit]

Article(s): [[]]

Request
Please correct these files showing early versions of the Afghan emblem. At that time, the emblem was not standardized, but I think it would be better to improve the following:
  1. longer and more pointed star rays
  2. the lines of the floor converge under the mihrab and the pulpit is "lower" in this perspective
  3. replace the swords and headdress called kollah with those of King Amanullah's flag, but with one large feather instead of 6
  4. equalize the height of the roofs
  5. add three triangles at the top of the mihrab
  6. oval versions should have a slightly different arrangement of star rays, [8] [9]
sources
  1. [10], in this version there is an open book above the swords which is not repeated in other versions, i couldn't find any information about it so don't add book.
  2. [11]
  3. [12]
  4. [13]
  5. [14]
  6. swords and kollah
  7. [15], this is not a factual source, but does contain good reproductions of the above

Request

Please change and isolate the emblem on this flag. Changes I am asking for

  1. The roof of the mosque as in the above request
  2. flat floor, no tiles
  3. kollah hat reduced to a rectangle
  4. instead of swords there is an eight-pointed star
  5. The star surrounding the whole should be simpler, it consists of only 4 lines on the rays.
sources

Fix librsvg bug
When I uploaded this version which fixes the geometry according to the 2005 decree, it displayed correctly when viewed on Chrome, but librsvg fails to display it correctly. My vector graphics skills are quite limited, and I have no idea why this happened. Official text
English Translation: In accordance with the seventh article of the constitution, the emblem of the Kingdom shall be a red flag with a five-pointed green star in the center. The flag shall be made with fabric of canna red, opaque and rectangular in shape. The star shall be open, green like the leaf of palm trees, made of five continuous branches and woven in the same fabric where it must be visible on both sides of the flag. One of its points must point upwards. The hoist [vertical dimension of a flag] of the flag equals two thirds (2/3) of its fly [horizontal length of a flag]. The star is inscribed in an invisible circle whose radius equals one sixth (1/6) of the flag's fly [horizontal length of a flag] and whose center is the intersection point of the invisible diagonal lines of the flag's rectangular. The width of each one of the branches of the star shall be 1/20 of its length.
As the flag is legally defined by a textual description, it can be relicensed as PD-Morocco-exempt.
Note the thickness of the black outline is not legally defined. It is generally much thinner than the green part.
My attempt at adjusting the dimensions (at [18]) displayed correctly when viewed natively on Microsoft Edge, but there ended up being a librsvg bug. I have no idea what caused it though.
Maybe rotating the arms the other way will work (it worked when viewed natively). I will try that and let you know if it works. SVG-image-maker (talk) 14:24, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Never mind, rotating the arms the other way did not work. SVG-image-maker (talk) 14:27, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@SVG-image-maker, I re-exported it from Adobe Illustrator, which efffectively breaks the rotation transforms by drawing each path individually. Unfortunately this increased the file size fivefold, but uh... at least it shows the correct design now? Designism (talk) 14:57, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Marking as resolved. SVG-image-maker, please reach a consensus with Hamamat32 first. --Designism (talk) 07:40, 12 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Possible Interiors of TRAPPIST-1 Exoplanets
Based on precise measurements of the plante densities
  • a) no Core
    • Rocky surface, iron mixed uniformly with other elements throughout the interior
  • b) Mantle + Core
    • Rocky surface, with an iron-rich core that is proportionally smaller than Earth's
  • c) Ocean + Mantle + Large Core
    • Deep Ocean layer on surface with larger iron-rich core
    • This is only possible for the cooler, outer 4 planets

BlackBerry[edit]

Article(s): en:BlackBerry

Request
I need a converted drawn SVG vector file for two logos that are currently in jpeg, namely: the old Blackberry logo from 1999 and the 1996 logo 'Inter@active Pager' - both of these are on the Fandom Logopedia page [19] but they are pixelated, low res. Both should be valid for Wikimedia Commons as they are simple text/graphics. --Millscrepe (talk) 17:17, 13 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

House flags[edit]

Article(s): w:Atlantic Telegraph Company, w:Collins Line, w:Chandris Line, Polish Shipping

Request
Please add vectorized versions of these flags.
  1. Bullard, King and Company
  2. Atlantic Telegraph Company [20], make an inscription "Atlantic Telegraph" in blue, although this is speculation
  3. Anglo-American Telegraph Company [21]
  4. Collins Line first flag, different shape as seen in the painting
  5. Collins Line second flag [22]
  6. Chandris Line [23]
  7. Polish Shipping [24], [25], the version with a white letter was used on cargo ships, I am also asking for a version from cruise ships, where the letter was yellow, the background was red and the stripes at the top and bottom were white.

Singapore ME9 rank[edit]

Article(s): w:Singapore Armed Forces ranks

Request
Requires an update based on this. In addition, the ME7 rank requires the bars to be lowered a little. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 08:37, 16 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

SVG football club logo: Paganese Calcio 1926[edit]

Article(s): Paganese Calcio 1926 (all languages)

Request
Please, remake the SVG logo(s).
As you can see on the official website, there's both a dark and a lite version (the dark one being the main one), but the correct lettering is the one we show in the lite images.
Official website: paganesecalcio.com.
Note: Instead of overwriting the current/bad SVG file, you could upload your works as new files named File:Paganese Calcio 1926 logo.svg and File:Paganese Calcio 1926 logo-lite.svg, respectively. Thanks in advance.
