Avoid any direct heat when mannequin is being processed with oxidative color or lightener.
Do not apply oxidative color or lightener directly to the synthetic scalp, chemicals cause the hair to loosen from the implantation holes making the hair to fall out of the mannequin head.
Clean, Dry, Style, and Store with care.
For a longer lasting mannequin we recommend to avoid lightening the hair longer than 30 minutes and with a peroxide higher than 30 vol.
 Avoid heat higher than 300°F

Cancelling an order we've already shipped
Once a package leaves out facility, it's in the hands of the carrier, and we're not in control of when your order will reach you, they are. We do our best to use reliable shipping, but issues arise.
If the shipping is taking too long and you're thinking about canceling / having us intercept the package, here are the details for the process:
OPTION ONE:Â Send the package back to us at your cost once it reaches you and we will refund you the item cost MINUS any shipping costs not covered by your shipping fee once it arrives back it new condition.
OPTION TWO: Ask us to request an INTERCEPT. USPS will charge us $13.95 and any additional shipping, and we will deduct those costs as well as any additional shipping costs not covered by your initial shipping fee from the item once the carrier returns it to us..
IMPORTANT!! We charge a basic flat-rate shipping. We almost always pay more than that for shipping. We will charge you the difference between what you paid for shipping, and what it actually cost us so we aren't making a loss on the shipped cancelled order. Covering the additional shipping is a service we provide to our paying customers, and as much as we'd love to as a service to you, we simply can't take losses on transactions like these where a full refund is involved.

Please contact us for more information and an estimated time of arrival to your destination.

I am a photographer and bought this to do lighting tests. I have attached pictures. When I saw in NJ we would be under a stay at home order, I had to cancel several model shoots. I had gotten some new lighting products and was disappointed not to be able to try them out. Many photography teachers suggest using a mannequin to do test of different lighting situations. I picked the Reika model because I was looking for darker hair since I specifically wanted to test lighting dark hair on a black background. The face is very lifelike which helps me work on how shadows fall across the nose and lips, as well as how the hair is being lit. I gave it 5 stars because it worked very well for why I bought it. But for photography, I have a few suggestions if HairArt wants to be able to sell to photographers. One is to have a model with glass eyes so that we can test the catch lights that we want in eyes. The Reika model has little white dots as, I guess, fake catch lights, so that doesn't do anything for a photographer. Also, it would be nice to have more shoulders. I put one of my wife's t-shirts on it with a clamp, but there isn't much shoulder area. Finally, I would like the ears to stick out a little more so that the long hair could be hooked over the ear, which a lot of woman I photography do to get the hair away from the eye. I tried doing it, but the ear is too close to the head. I'm going to try putting a small clamp on the ear under the hair and try and see if that lets me hook the hair out of the way. My wife suggested a bobby pin, but I have rarely photographed someone using bobby pins, much just use their ear. You can see my work on Instagram @frantvisuals
Amazing feedback! We'll bring it up with our President, he loves innovating new products.

I was looking for a competition head with brunette, medium length hair on the thinner side for which I would practice updos on. I got what I wanted and exactly what was pictured in a few days. However, I'm disappointed in the quality of the hair for a few reasons. First of all, there are many white hairs. Enough white hairs that are obvious from a distance and will need dyeing, which I didn't want to do. Second, there are so many baby hairs and hair strands that are short and constantly sticking out which will be annoying to manage with updos. Lastly, the hair is pretty damaged. Lots of split ends. Its also very frayed at the ends which most mannequin heads are that is easily fixed with a trim. I just don't know yet if I will be keeping the head so I don't want to put scissors to it. Lastly, the eyelashes are a nice touch but one of the eyes is missing a fourth of the lashes because they fell out. It seems to be real human hair because it didn't melt under my heated styling tools... and because of all the split ends.

Best quality mannequin and service from company. Definitely will repurchase

The mannequin head is a Christmas present for our daughter. She has not seen it yet, but we are sure she will be very happy with it as she practises hairstyling techniques with it.

I bought two wigs (Reika and Emma) recently for making realistic hair-related ASMR videos and realized there's a big difference between the two types of hair and the way the wigs are made, so thought to share my feedback for others buying for similar reasons who aren't professionals. Both mannequin heads are really well made--I was quite rough in how I washed and handled them and had hardly any hair strand shedding (but do note the eyelashes are fragile and dislodged when I washed Reika's face). The big differences are in the hair texture and volume. Reika seems to have way more hair strands and so the scalp show-through is less so more realistic, but because the hair isn't woven with cuticles facing in the same direction the hair tangles incredibly easy when wet or dry. Because the hair is not ****** and looks pretty processed/damaged, I spent forever detangling and styling Reika after washing, and still just running a brush through the hair the brush often "skips" and doesn't move smoothly and gets easily tangled. No matter how much you comb/brush it, it's just a tangle monster :D. Reika's hair texture is very rough and dry. There are also quite a few gray/silver hairs that I have to keep removing because they stand out on camera, and most disappointingly the ends look completely fried and damaged and don't look nice on camera. The plus side to Reika is because of the texture and tangling, she's fairly good for hair straightening ASMR, or demonstrating slow and tedious hair detangling. :) In contrast, Emma's hair is never-processed and cuticle aligned, so it is easy to detangle, silky smooth, and easy to run a brush through, but the amount of strands and volume is much less so the scalp show-through doesn't look realistic from the front.
